OUR STORY

Cippenham Baptist Church celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2023. Why not drop in to one of our regular events or join us on a Sunday, we would love to see you!

Our story began in 1933 when Cippenham Free Church was founded, in Cippenham Green, a Baptist church born out of Slough Baptist Church. In 1940 the current church was built on the site in Elmshott Lane and three classrooms were added in the early 1970s for Sunday School and other events. The church later became known as Cippenham Baptist Church.

The church has had several pastors including Cyril Rusbridge in the late 1940s and early 1950s, Donald Nield from 1956 to 1966, John Perry from 1967 to 1982 and then Robin Scott, who served as pastor for more than thirty years, until his retirement in 2018.
